GIPI receives a group of graduates

GIPI Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC has accepted graduates from local and international universities and colleges for on-the-job-training program, as part of the efforts made by the company to qualify national workforce to work in the sector of petroleum pipe production.

GIPI’s CEO, Sulaiman Al-Farsi has emphasized that the program is the first of its kind launched by the company to train and qualify Omani graduates in the field of pipe quality inspection (NDT) so that they become capable of joining the labor market and finding a full-time employment with the company or with other entities active within the industrial sector.

This program supplements the government’s efforts in the process of training and rehabilitating the Omani workforce and will contribute towards the local labor market improvement and increase availability of the local technical specialists.

The graduates will enter the on-job-training program for a period of six months at the factory’s headquarter located in the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), in wilayat of Sohar. They will receive their final approval from Petroleum Development Oman LLC ( PDO), further strengthening trainees’ capabilities and increasing their future employment opportunities in the field.
